NEW U9/U10 PAYMENT STRUCTURE

Dear Parents and Players,

Welcome to the Wayzata Soccer Club 2009/2010 season.
With the anxiety of tryouts and team selection behind us, it is time to put all our efforts to make sure that your children find the soccer experience at our club fulfilling and rewarding.

We are excited about the upcoming season and we embrace the opportunity to provide our members with high quality training and an environment where they can grow and develop.

In order to reach these goals, we have implemented some positive changes to make sure that every kid in our program is given the opportunity to train and develop regardless of the team level they are assigned to.

Among the changes we adopted, is a new payment structure after feedback from coaches, team managers, and parents.
In the past, after teams paid their original registration fees, they were free to manage their expenses and choose the frequency of training and when to start training,

This created such an imbalance among teams that some teams over trained and other did not train enough. Some teams participated in tournaments and others decided not to.

Another major discrepancy is the coach’s fee. Teams with volunteer coaches did not pay one while others hired a paid coach. In this new structure, all teams will be charged a reasonable coaching fee.

Please, note that the new payment structure does not raise your cost for the season but rather manages your payment without any additional financial surprises throughout the year.

What would your fee cover?

As stated in our registration form, your fee will continue to cover the following:
MYSA/USYSA Registration and League Fees
Coaching Education and Licenses
Referee Fees for League Games
State Tournament Entry Fee
Insurance
Contributions/Fees to City of Plymouth for CMS Dome & Plymouth Creek Dome
Coaching and Player Development Director Salary
Boys Director Position Salary
Miscellaneous equipment fee expenses, i.e. field goal nets, etc.
Referee Coordinator Position Salary
Miscellaneous administration costs

In addition:
All Dome fees ( Plymouth Dome and Wayzata Central Middle School Dome). Dome time will be assigned by the director of coaching and U9/U10 Program Director
U9/U10 Weekend Kickoff Jamboree (April/May)
Up to 3 tournaments entry fees (up to $250.00 per tournament)

Academy Training – 12 weeks / 1hr session at the Plymouth Dome (January thru March

2 Written Evaluations for each player (

What will not be covered:
Uniforms cost
Out of state tournaments
Excessive dome time usage such as scrimmages
Additional accessories such as warm ups, bags, etc…
Fall League

The total fee is $450.00 payable in 2 installments of $225.00 each
First installment due 10 days after tryout results have been published
Second installment is due April 15th

We feel that this fee is very reasonable and matches overall the expenses a typical U9/U10 team will experience throughout the soccer season.

Again welcome to another year of soccer at the Wayzata Soccer Club.

Please let us know if you have any questions or need additional information.

Thank you.
