Under Garments for Cold Weather Games

 As you all know, when the weather is cold all the teams are looking for options for under armour or clothing that can be worn under their soccer uniform.  Until recently, for the older teams, the choices were more limited when they played in the State Cup since the color options were regulated according to MYSA soccer guidelines.  In those situations, the under armour had to be the same color as the primary color of the uniform--in our situation 'gold'.  

This year, however, those guidelines have been changed and it is now acceptable for either black or white under armour to be worn.  See an excerpt below from the newly updated MYSA guidlines

jersey: an official uniform of an accepted soccer style jersey with a six-inch minimum size
permanent number on the back of the shirt. Each number must be different. The jerseys
must have finished sleeve openings and enclosed sides. The goalkeeper must wear
colors that distinguish them from other players, the referee, and assistant referees. The
goalkeeper is required to have a permanent number on his/her jersey. All teams must
have a primary and alternate color jersey (if thermal under garments are worn, they will
be the same basic color as the shirts or white or black and all players wearing under
garments must wear the same color);

shorts: (if thermal under garments are worn, they will be the same basic color as the
shorts or white or black, and all players will wear the same color)

No matter what color you're looking for, Nadine Schissel, WSC Girls Director and in charge of club apparel, has researched options for gold under armour for our club.  She found a vendor that sells a product called 'jetwear'. Jetwear is available in multiple styles in gold as well as the more standard black and white colors.  She has also arranged for the club to purchase the jetwareproduct at wholesale rates.  The quality is great, very similar to under armour, but not as expensive.  Attached below is an orderform listing costs, styles and sizes.  You can also check out the jetwear website at www.jetwearusa.com. 

Keep in mind that it is not mandatory that any player purchase the gold jetwear.
